I have nothing else to say about it besides the fact that it is absolutely gorgeous, authentic and fits the theme of the game incredibly and surprisingly well. Oh, and the contrast between the refined antiquity of the art and the absurdity of a society of civilised animals works wonders.Usually in these sorts of visual novel-esque\/point-and-click games there's very little urgency to your choices. I absolutely loved how there was a 'time limit' in the sense that you could only travel between places a limited amount of times, since every time you move to a different location the day becomes closer to ending, and as the days end, so does the impending day of the court trials come ever closer. It meant that you had to choose very wisely where you want to go and what exactly you want to do at those locations, whether it be looking for clues or talking to the locals. This means that for some trials, you might not even end up finding any evidence, making your cases in court a little hard to defend. I found this mechanic incredibly interesting, as it sort of made every action\/choice before the obvious major choices in court feel at least a little more importance, compared to other games where the "downtime" between major story moments have little effect towards the bigger narrative. The writing is also quite good. The characters feel genuine, and there is some humour to be found. As for the narrative, I initially wasn't expecting anything great, since it is a small game. I expected the gameplay and artstyle to have priority, and the narrative to just..be there. But after the plot twist on the first case (which in hindsight is pretty cliche but still quite good), I knew I was in for a treat. It's very obvious that the developers put a lot of passion into this game despite it being short and small experience. And I think that allows that game's strengths to outshine its flaws.
